If it hadnt been for him dumbing down half the American population for 30 years, we never would have gotten Trump and maybe even Dubya for that matter.
You can blame the possibly irreparable mess the country is in today at his feet.
He was a vile piece of shit and Im glad some of the most frequent targets of his disgusting hate (such as Hillary Clinton) outlived him. Fuck him.

(10,510 posts)He was used to manipulate the Right into voting against their interests. He also helped deflect blame off of the Donor class and place it on minorities, immigrants, and liberals. It worked.

Besides, stock piling that much and delivering it would be a huge hassle.
I want him to be a prominent stop on the "piss on your grave" tour

(1,178 posts)How this guy never got sued for his lie amazes me. All of those years he would make up stuff that had very little truth to it, and he knew it.....yet those listeners ate it all up as if it were gospel.

(3,688 posts)Most of the people Limbaugh attacked were public figures, and in the US it is very, very hard to get a defamation judgement against a public figure. I believe the reason he eventually half-apologized to Sandra Fluke is that he realized there was a non-trivial chance that, even though she had testified before Congress, she might still be considered a private figure, because if simply testifying could strip you of your privacy protections nobody would want to do it.

(1,910 posts)Kids listening while driving with parents, heard his crap, went to school, teased and bullied kids who were different. Limbaugh inflicted untold torment on hundreds of thousands over his career.
Pure evil.

(432 posts)Rush Limbaugh was rotten to the core...he mocked the marginalized and tore down the defenders of the disadvantaged. And yes, I remember him saying the "bullying was harmless" which is complete bullshit.
I am soooo glad that Limbaugh is forever gone from the face of this earth.

(2,206 posts)I loved when Limbaugh got his stupid ass booted off of ESPN NFL Gameday for his racist rant about Donovan McNabb of the Eagles. I remember they showed co-host Tom Jackson's face while he was talking and he looked like he was ready to revert to his Denver Bronco playing days as a linebacker and take Limbaugh out.
The NFL also rebuffed both Limbaugh and Trump when they attempted to buy into the Rams and Bills, respectively. Too bad America as a whole didn't reject these two the way the NFL did.

(1,658 posts)Absolutely, he (principally), along with a few other RW helpers of the late 80s and into the 90s who parroted his hate across AM radio and amid political discourse, groomed and shaped the awful brand of conservativism that we have today.
Limbaugh and his sweeping generalizations and insults soured the attitudes of so many common people. Trump merely picked up on it and "brought 'em home."
Such a VILE belief system he cultivated.

(596 posts)... the last 4 years.
Rush flew to Thailand to be with under aged girls and showed no remorse and paraded around like some kind of god afterwards. Trump raped under aged girls and was an instrument of death and torture for numerous children.
You cannot reason with the right, none of them.
May they all die and rid this planet of their disease.
No compassion , no sympathy or empathy. Every last one of them are horrible.

(121 posts)The plotters of the Oklahoma City bombing singled out the incessant anti government incitement by Limbaugh as the driving force that propelled them toward their horrible mess murder terrorist act. He openly and shamelessly drummed up his profound racism, misogyny, anti science, pro environmental destruction insane and cruel views. He incited stupid racist ignoramuses to commit mayhem and murder. He was a total failure as a person, unworthy of being considered a human being due to his complete lack of conscience and compassion for others. He was utterly devoid of even one redeeming qualities. The world is now a slightly better place with him gone.

(5,170 posts)I hope the chemotherapy caused him the worst nausea and vomiting anyone has ever experience in their life.
I hope he found it impossible to sleep, eat, drink, or find a comfortable position since he was diagnosed.
I hope he suffered deeply at the end - it would still only be a bare fraction of the suffering he caused while he was alive.
