Just got my first shot of Moderna vaccine.

Never even felt it, no side effects so far. (one hour)

I went to the clinic where my primary doctor works, which is run by the hospital where my wife and I volunteer. It was a by appointment drive through, very efficient operation. I stopped at Taco Bell on the way home and that took longer than the vaccine. Hats off to all the staff there.

There are some downsides to living in a small town, but this was one of the upsides.

1. My arm was sore for a couple of days

Otherwise, I didn't have any side-effects.

My wife had a sore arm, too, but she got a huge bruise at the injection site and she was lethargic for a day or so.

Doses #2 will happen in a couple of weeks so we'll see if there's any reaction then.

Good luck with yours, Mr. Bill.

Congratulations !. Got my first Moderna dose on Thursday, and other than a slightly sore arm, no other symptoms at all.

3. I have learned over the years with flu shots

that it can make a big difference if your arm is relaxed or tensed up, which frankly is a situation to be expected with some people. My wife is a retired RN and she taught me this. Also, it's only natural that some people wielding the needles are more practiced and better at it than others.

I would imagine in the current situation they have people doing it that don't have as much experience as others. It's all hands on deck right now. My family doctor has a medical assistant that spent years in pediatrics, and they are the best because no one likes to make a child cry.

The one who gave me my shot today was someone I didn't know, but she was very good. One thing for sure is, lots of people are getting lots of experience right now. The place I went to today did over 400 yesterday.

...and youre right..i felt nothing ( and Im a big baby) and just minor soreness a cpl days after. Guess our hospital had a freezer capable of sub-arctic temps ( hubby used to be the pharmacist there). Ours was a clinic at the local Fairground and it was so well run! Cnn had a story about how our County hasnt wasted one dose. Everyone was in a good mood and chatty. So well run!!!

I have been scared to death of the virus. What a relief that help was on the way.

Thank you, Governor Lamont!

I'm a notorious white-coat syndrome patient, but I barely felt it and had no side effects at all except a very brief slightly sore arm later that night. I'm very relieved and am awating my second shot in another week and a half.

7. Took me 15 minutes at fair grounds, had to go inside.

There were maybe two dozen nurses giving shots. Waited about 15 minutes once inside. Ninety minutes ago. I read it will take about two weeks for the immunity to kick in on this first shot. For those over 65 shot one blocks 86% of infections. Up to 95% after shot two. Almost no one 65 to 75 dies from covid after shot two. Even the 5% who get infected get milder reactions. A huge win for science.

Thank you scientists, thank you US govt for putting up all those molecular biology buildings on college campuses beginning in the seventies. I remember about every major college I visited sprouting one, they all seemed about 7 or 8 stories tall. The fruits are really kicking in now.
