Romney's "Surge"

The MSM's current story is Romney's "Surge"

surge - a sudden large increase, typically a brief one that happens during an otherwise stable or quiescent period: the firm predicted a 20% surge in sales.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

According to many polls and pollsters, including Gallup and Nate Silver, Romney's surge is peaking and/or peaked.

Romney has still not broken 50% in *any* national poll.

In all EV predictors, RCP, HuffPo, Nate Silver, EV.com, etc... Obama is still far ahead of Romney in EV's if not over the 270 mark (which he is in most models).

There are still three more debates. Obama acknowledges and learns from his mistakes, and uses them to improve. His campaign has shown great strategy and tactics and, up until the debate, run like a well-oiled-machine. We can expect a much different performance in the coming debates.
