Where are all the democrats who were yelling and speaking at the National Convention? Sometimes

it seems like the only people who have the President's back are here at DU. Has the MSM shut down their voices or are they cowering in corners. We need them to join in this fight for reelection. Believe me, Hell will be unleashed on earth if the Mystical Rabid Romney wins.

1. Traitors in the democratic party
Tue Oct 9, 2012, 09:03 AM
Oct 2012

One issue that people don't want to touch is the number of paid off traitors posing as democrats and progressives.

You have the rich democrats, including politicians, who secretly side with Romney. Lieberman and Rangel are two examples of democrats people were fooled into believing for decades they cared about the peasants. There are many more democratic politicians like them.

There are the so called civil rights groups who are angry that President Obama didn't throw them extra money to spend on their banquets, fashion shows, and award shows. These groups help no one but friends and families. They should be audited over the millions they take under false pretenses and many of their top people arrested.

Then there is the religious communities in many poor and urban areas that have made gay rights their priority. There are actually black minister organizations urging their members to stay home and not vote for President Obama because he supports gay marriage.
We already know where the Catholic Church and other religious groups stand. All these so called religious groups fighting for the poor are full of it.

The only people who can win this for President Obama and for themselves are the people. They need to think for themselves and vote for themselves. Wake up and ignore the reverends and other religious leaders, the politicians, and the pundits who haven't done a damn thing for us in decades. If people can't come out and fight by voting for President Obama and true liberal and progressive members of congress then they deserve whatever happens.

you expand it to "groups" being poverty pimps. And from that expansion it becomes a claim of pervasive infiltration of democrats and progressives by traitors.

Do you think that's justified?

Traitors in the democratic party and liberal groups include the poverty pimps and all those who pretend to speak for and serve liberal causes. All while lining their pockets. The way people protect them is no different from the way people worship and turn a blind eye to organized religion. It is not a coincidence that wherever there is a heavy concentration of many of these entities there is a heavy concentration of poverty, despair, and a cycle of their profiting from poverty and despair.

No person or organization should be above being held accountable for their actions.

I have no doubt that there are democratic politicians who do things with the money they raise that don't seem honorable.

The questions are really whether such infidelity can be projected from one group with questionable members to many groups or the entire democratic party?

you pretend I said the entire democratic party. Where and when did I state that? I stated clearly that there were people in the democratic party who were traitors. There is a difference. Your pretense that I said ALL just proves to me that there are those who want to continue to hide the truth and pretend such traitors don't exist.

What you posted is about the Black Caucus. I'm not represented by a member of that group and cannot speak to it's "traitorous" membership.

As I said in my original reply: If you have the names of the traitors share them.

I don't think this problem is nearly as pervasive as you think it is, even if it involves a large number of the Black Caucus.

18. Australians came to the logical conclusion that neo-libs were a rightwing front.
Tue Oct 9, 2012, 11:44 AM
Oct 2012

Australian Liberals decided to copy American DLC. People learned that the neo-libs in Australia were funded by the same people who were funding the Conservatives in Australia. Logical conclusion: Australian neo-libs is a front organization for the people funding them.

In the United States the neo-libs, DLC, Third Way and Blue Dogs are funded by the same people funding Republicans in the United States. Logical conclusion: US neo-libs are fully independant of the people funding them. Conservatives fund these Democrats because they feel guilty about having stolen so much money from us that they figure they ought to at least fund our politicians so we have some sort of a chance.

What are you, lalalu, an Australian or something?

to speak up in the press.

One can scream as loud as they want, but if they don't have a microphone, no one hears it.

Your anger should be directed at CNNMSNBCFOXABCNBCCBS - not at fellow Democrats who haven't been invited to speak up.

but, I certainly didn't mean to attribute emotions that aren't there.

I, too, am wondering why no one has bothered to put some of the best voices for Obama on television.

So much so, I just quit watching television at all.......5 minutes of Morning Smoe and off it goes.

I am old enough to remember when they were forced to cover democrats and liberal causes because democrats and liberals actually did something. I can remember when civil rights groups, unions, and democrats spent money on organizing rallies with free buses from all over the country. When was the last time you have seen any of these groups do the same? Face reality. Many of them sold us out a long time ago. Time for people to wake up and form new groups. Many of the old organizations are paid parts of the establishment.

And, as I said......if they have no MICROPHONE, their voices cannot be heard.

I think you're directing your anger at the wrong party - it's the PRESS you should be campaigning against. Not Democrats.

Talk about a poster child for worthless democrats. You supported the woman who attacked Gore and ignored Bush? Really?

My anger is not at the "democratic party". It is anger at those who hide amongst the ranks of democrats but really work for the other side. There is a difference.

Wooooo hoooo, great PROGRESS there.

You sound just like my neighbor who, upon learning I was going to help Cynthia McKinney win her election, asked me if I would take his gun and shoot her.
