These are awesome, like always! I love these toon posts and look forward to them, and this collection did not disappoint. But...yeah, there's a "but."
It's about that last cartoon. I really like parts of it. (Like the part about being a "revenge enthusiast," which really resonates for me.) But a couple of other elements struck me as not quite in keeping with the general spirit of Inauguration Day euphoria that's all over this board right now.
In particular: "Pretend to care about climate change" on the list of "easy wins" for Biden. Sorry, I don't see it. I just don't. I think he really does genuinely care about it.
Also, the comment about wanting a "normal seeming plaything of the military industrial complex" as president struck me as a little off. No, it doesn't directly say that's what Biden is, but I think it's strongly implied, and it just feels weird to me. I know there are people who see him that way, but I don't think that's reflective of the general sentiment here. Not right now, at least.
So, anyway, those things kind of felt to me like thinly veiled digs at out new president, at a time when most of us are in the mood to celebrate him. Maybe it's just me, and if so, please ignore this. I could be reading it all wrong, or it could just be a ymmv situation, in which case, I apologize for even bringing this up.
