for us to adopt a different alphabet that doesn't have a Q in it. Greek, Cyrillic, or perhaps Hebrew or Arabic or Asian.

Official EU documents still tend to use DD.MM.YYYY but one document specifies the use of ISO 8601: "Dates should be formatted by the following format: YYYY-MM-DD."
So that would be 20.01.2021 or 2021-01-20, neither of which are palindromic.
