Some good news: Gallup's three-day average of Obama approval is at 51%

Gallup's three-day rolling average of President Obama's approval rating shows him at 51% approval compared to 44% disapproval. That's three points up in the approval column and two points down in the disapproval column. This, combined with Obama's two-point swing back in his favor in the 7-day Obama/Romney head-to-head average from yesterday, indicates that Romney's bounce may have subsided over the past couple days.

Basically what I'm saying is don't worry too much about the Pew poll. It's certainly not good and the race has tightened, but it oversampled Republicans (per Chuck Todd of all people) and both Gallup and (R)asmussen's tracking polls indicate Romney's bump may have been temporary and/or small.

...but it was confined to the best Romney polling days immediately post-debate. If they did another one starting right now I bet it would show rather different results.
