Why do Republicans think the poor should die?

More: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtEbLoKTyU3gW2UZOKtNUwIjzKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20120919185235AAmuDn8

I am posting this question in response to some of the heartless comments I have seen some of the "conservative" posters make in recent days.

Here is my background information...

I'm 32 years old. I am an adjunct college instructor. My father is a disabled American veteran who was injured while serving his country in Vietnam. I do not receive food stamps or any other government aid. My work offers no form of insurance and I only make $16,000 a year. I pay approximately 23% of my income in taxes.

When I was a child I received very little in the area of medical care. This was because in the area we live in (Douglas Georgia) CHAMPVA/CHAMPUS (the medical insurance given to disabled veterans and their families) was not accepted by any local doctors. My sister and I received no regular checkups and going to a doctor meant that it had to nearly be an emergency.

P.S. This wasn't me who posted the question; I just happened to find it on a Google search.

It is more a question of the humanity and compassion that we extend to eachother during our time. Republicans and/or conservatives seem to have a unique view on that.

Anyone who does not think the same way as they do are the ones they think should not be allowed to live on this planet. The right wing talking heads have spewed their message of hate for so long that they have created a group of hate filled morons who think that liberals are dangerous and should be eliminated from society. The poor are just an easier target for them to hate. They don't seem to care if corporations suck us dry with "subsidies and tax breaks", but anyone who votes for a democrat and receives help from the government are on their hate list.

Now to be far I don't really think all republicans are like that, but sadly a vast number who have been brainwashed by talk radio, and fox news are, and they are the teabaggers and the so called christian right who think this way. The good thing is some of them are seeing through the BS and starting to think on their own, thus the ratings drop for fox news. Another good thing is that these "haters" are destroying the republican party, and it is imploding from within. I really think there will be a split with two fractions, the so called main stream republicans, and the far right crazy teabaggers. If we are lucky this divide will make the GOP a meaningless group that will fail to get any of their choices for office elected.

Republicans, it's not so much they think the poor should die, it's just they don't want to spend any of their tax money to help them, so they are expendable. That's especially true if the person is a minority. To Repugs it's pull yourself up by your bootstraps or die -- we ain't helping cause we have to buy bombers to kill poor people overseas.

It really is disgusting. And Douglas, Georgia has a lot of republican sympathizers.

or middle class person as a penny that belongs to them by divine right. They only want enough serfs around to do the grunt work and fight their wars. The rest of us are utterly disposable in their minds.

No, I don't expect Republicans to have a sudden overnight metamorphosis, but that's all I hear when they speak.
