Andrew had best learn how to phrase his public statements or else forget running for mayor.

(46,140 posts)9. I am assuming a lot of people living in NW don't live in 2 bedroom apartments.
NW living is extremely expensive. So it sounds tone def.

No. I don't need to imagine. I live in a two bedroom apartment. I share a bedroom with my daughter. Both of my kids are in virtual school. Fuck you, Yang.

(4,443 posts)14. Anecdote
I was listening to a webinar course that Yale offers run by a young woman on Happiness or the Science of Well-Being and she was talking about a high salary being a main goal for people and she said that all of you (about 20 Yale students), will be making over $50,000 a year, so you won't have a problem with getting basic needs met. I just thought, this course is not for me, geared to 20-somethings who want to make $100,000 a year.

It's not easy but she's doing it.

Apparently he doesn't realize how elitist that statement is, considering millions of families in America are doing exactly what he suggests we "imagine" and many are in far worse situations.

He should have been able to say, but we make it work.
