Pence has really only one choice to make,

After trump threatened him and his family's lives, he has to use the 25th to remove him at once, and stop him maybe trying it again. I think this is also partially about trump demanding he pardon him, and he refused. Pence has no future in politics no matter what he does, but publicly would look better if he used it to get rid of his constant threats to this country , and to our Democracy. His safety is being threatened as long as he remans in office. I believe trump has zero issues with anyone's lives being threatened if it benefits him.

1. I've been thinking. If Pence is President, even for a day, does he get the Secret Service

protection a former President gets? I think a former Vice-President only gets six months.

Were threatened with being murdered by trumps incited domestic terrorists. That was one of things that got him so angered about what happened . He knew trump was behind it.

With whatever Hawley's and Cruz's fates are, the now 60-ish Pence would have a clearer shot at 2024, but only if he grew a spine and got the support for the 25th.

We also don't know the fate of a fractured GOP. There could be a government of Ds, Rs, and Qs. A 50/25/25 ratio.

But I also think that politicians, no matter what (almost), never truly believe they're done until they decide to retire. No matter how odious they are, they think they've got a shot at the brass ring of the presidency.

12. I think Pence is afraid to '25th' trump* because the cult will target him, even harder

They already wanted to hang him for not stealing the election for trump*. Him being the one to oust trump* might have them constructing a guillotine.

I'm actually shocked that he DIDN'T cave to the cult, when the EC was certified. Perhaps it was one time that his worry about his own posterity won out.
