(3,395 posts)The guy who was sitting in Pelosi's chair is another easy target, his name is already out there, lets see if he gets arrested as well.
dware
(12,385 posts)but the genius sitting in Spkr. Pelosi's chair admitted it was him in her office on tape to a reporter.
The US prosecutor is going to have fun with this guy, let's see how smug he is once the FBI or US Marshal's Service show up to arrest him on multiple Fed. felonies.

(6,477 posts)Some of these fools really thought the country was behind them, and would "rise up" and consider them heroes. I suspect once they started looking at their social media and seeing even usual neutrals repulsed and disgusted by their behavior, it started to sink in that 1) this was not popular, 2) Trump was not going to win, and 3) they were likely criminally liable.
Watching that guy say that he was "just aa normal guy" who "didn't hurt anyone" and "not an extremist" after he was literally dangling off the House balcony and sitting in the Speaker's seat of the House Chamber was truly something else! Yes, totally normal not extreme at all to be invading the chamber of the House of Representatives and putting your feet up on the damn dias, cool cool, buddy. What the fuck is in these people's heads?
dware
(12,385 posts)this treason really is.
I would love to be a fly on his front door entrance way when the Feds show up with matching bracelets.

(6,477 posts)there's not only pictures of you doing it that the entire country thought were disgusting, but you admitted it on your own Instagram video, yeah, you're not in a good legal position, I should think.

His name is Josiah Colt. He claims to be fighting for his "freedom," which is being "taken away." He skydives and owns multiple weapons, he flies across the country midweek for an event. He has a job. Apparently he was actually in the Senate chamber, though.
Fucking clown.

a newly elected legislator from West Virginia who was in the mob that entered the building. He had photos of himself at the Capitol on Facebook. Later deleted the one of him entering, but it had already been copied and shared.
Name is Derrick Evans. When asked about it he lied and said he was there as an independent journalist. He is not a journalist and never has been.
The West Virginia House Speaker said, "He will need to answer to his constituents and colleagues."
Uh, no. He should answer to criminal investigators for participating in a terrorist attack on the US government.

(17,600 posts)I know some decent people (I think they're decent, anyway) who work in HR.
But over the years I have realized the mind-numbing level of bullshit that goes into that job. (I work elsewhere, and just have to contort myself periodically to fit into whatever new geometrical shape they have made of the HR rules, so that I can get my job done.)
I think anyone who works there must learn how to "check the boxes" and "play the game". Hiding one's politics is just part of it.
But on the other side, I'm betting that company is pretty skilled at getting rid of people they don't like for reasons they aren't supposed to be able to get rid of people for (sexism, racism, ageism, etc.). Having a competent HR lawyer with a Trumpian attitude sure would help with that.
