The benches just emptied on the floor of the House, and members nearly came to violence

The benches just emptied on the floor of the House, and members nearly came to violence, because @ConorLambPA had the temerity to accuse his Republican colleagues of lying about why President Trump lost Pennsylvania.

Good for him, and shame on them.

Shit, why not ... we've had this whole Banana Republic party rolling for months (years?), why quit now?

It's just starting to get REALLY crazy.

Someone got out of order and interrupted Conor Lamb twice, so Nancy kicked him out.

What happened.

1. Republicans objected to Lamb's description of riots on the House floor.
2. Pelosi shut that down
3. GOP kept yelling
4. Democrats started yelling
5. I saw Rep. Andy Harris face Dems, taunt them and make gestures ithat read to me as "bring ilet's fight"

@LisaDNews
6. Democrats got on feet, from other side of the chamber many (a dozen?) started moving quickly, almost running thru rows to where Harris was.
7. Republicans started doing same.
8. A staffer - it may have been the Sgt. at Arms moved even more quickly to separate them.

and was wondering who told who to "meet me outside after school for a 'fair one'".

What I heard haltingly was that the Republicans wanted something Lamb said to be "stricken from the record" and was arguing in a point of order on when that type of objection was permitted and Pelosi told him that he was "too late" to make the request and should have been done right when he originally heard the offending language and should not have waited.

He had originally won a special election in March 2018 in one district and then the lines were redrawn and he ran in the general that same year, but in a different adjacent district. And he just won a 2nd term in that district.

It's not as bizarrely sprawled like the old gerrymandered districts. The State Supreme Court redrew the congressional districts to be "compact and contiguous".

Apparently, while Conor Lamb was speaking, Republican Andy Harris got into it with Democrat Colin Allred. Harris is an anesthesiologist. Allred is a former NFL linebacker. Somebody broke it up.
Dammit.

We’re in for a rough ride.

The GOP learned NOTHING from yesterday. This, and Trump’s “concession,” just sends the message to the deplorables to keep it up.

The next gauntlet we have to run is Jan. 20.
