for losing your liberty and ability to vote to change it.

Plus, they're resigned to it. Russia's been propping up this workers' paradise and bribing compliance of its economic elites for over six decades now. Three generations in, almost no one knows anything else. And of course it was very bad before, or Cuba would never have flopped from the military dictatorship frying pan into the socialist dictatorship fire.

But they do have a national healthcare system which, after six decades, ranks about the 74% percentile, at the top of similarly impoverished Central American nations. They have little problems like the government spying on them through their medical records and doctors, nonconsensual abortions, etc., but a lot of Americans would would feel those were small prices to pay for no medical bills.
