Lawyers think they found a way to prosecute Trump for crimes against humanity: Keith Olbermann

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-crimes-against-humanity/

Progressive commentator Keith Olbermann said that there may be a way to prosecute President Donald Trump for crimes against humanity.

In a series of videos he posted to Twitter on Tuesday, the former MSNBC host said that just in case Trump wasn't able to kill enough people by ignoring the virus, now he's not ordering enough vaccinations for all 330-plus million Americans. Pfizer offered Trump a deal for another 100 million vaccines, but he refused them. After bad press on the topic, Moderna similarly offered a deal that would offer additional vaccinations for the U.S. government but that was ultimately accepted.

But Trump could be prosecuted using the Department of Justice's upnit called the Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section, "which, as its own guide states, 'investigates and prosecutes human rights violators and international criminals who have violated U.S. criminal law."

He explained that it rarely prosecute American citizens in the U.S. but the guidelines say that it could prosecute someone "whose acts are so broad and so egregious as to be considered crimes against humanity."

The International Criminal Court in the Hague is part of the United Nations. There's even a US judge who sits in as part of that judiciary.

Trump loves to be compared to Khadafi, Chsuchesku, and others. So let's see if he will take the punishment they got.

Never ratified the treaty. Nothing will happen to Trump in the Hague. Just like nothing happened to Dubya and Cheney.

However, there are a few corner conditions that smart attorneys could play. He could be tried for separating families from countries that have signed the Rome Statute. That includes Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Brazil and Mexico.

Something is eventually about to stick. In the meantime, it will drive him insane. I want him to spend every last moment of his life on earth tormented, paranoid and frightened for his life and his freedom.

might be a more suitable end for him than prison and far easier to ensure too. I've always wanted to see him behind bars but your post had me realize he's been building his own jail his entire life - and he doesn't fucking even know it.

Still, locked up in Florence sounds good too. Hmmm.

so... i'll believe it when i see it

this track of letting bygones be bygones we've been riding is really fucking killing off this country (not to mention those who have been and will be killed by trump & the don't wear a mask republican mayors & governors & members of congress!)

Especially if his final coup attempt succeeds. Rs always get away with murder. We should be in the streets chanting No justice, no peace, but it's too cold & too COVIDy out there.
