CNN Breaking News: Romney on 47% comments: I was 'completely wrong'

more etch-a-sketch.....this is what he did not get a chance to say last night.

(CNN) - Mitt Romney said he was "completely wrong" when he argued that nearly half of Americans were "victims" and dependent on government.

The admission came Thursday as the GOP presidential candidate sought to clarify his controversial "47%"

"Clearly in a campaign with hundreds if not thousands of speeches and question-and-answer sessions, now and then you're going to say something that doesn't come out right," Romney said on Fox News. "In this case, I said something that's just completely wrong."

Last month, secretly recorded video of Romney at a May fundraiser showed the Republican candidate saying 47% of Americans will vote for President Barack Obama "no matter what."

He is a hollow man, one without any thoughts, beliefs, or convictions. People who have no core belief system are the most dangerous people, especially when they have power.

He's an empty suit that just wants money and power. He will say anything to accomplish that goal. That should be worrying not only to "us" but to his supporters as well.

work "etch a sketch" into the next debate. The Prez has got to be quick and react to Romney's lies, pandering, and distortions.

The guy might have had somewhat of a chance, with some, if he coupled his 'I was wrong' statement with an apology to those he dissed--including elderly people, disabled people, U.S. troops putting their lives on the line in a combat zone, and disabled veterans. But he still can't bring himself to do that.

We don't easily forget what he said:

"There are 47% who are with him (President Obama), who are dependent on government, who believe that that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing."

"I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives," he added.

They so wanted to do this at the debate last night. They wanted Obama to bring it up so Mitt could do his big mea culpa in front of 60 million people, and the media would demand we all move on.

Obama didn't give it to him and now he's forced to do it on Fox News. Lol.

He's caught disparaging half the country to his fellow 1%ers when he didn't realize he was being taped, then comes on national television and says he was wrong.

How self-serving and transparent can the phoniness be and still be presented as legitimate? Isn't there a point at which even the media just sort of shakes it's head and looks away?

He is sorry because he got caught. That statement from Romney was from the heart. He was really passionate about it and he was totally at ease. He cannot run away from this because this is who he is.

I do not want someone like that in charge of running this country.
