So Moscow is near their western border, and it's 8 hours ahead of New York and Washington DC.

We've discussed this before on DU - the real reason why Chump is up in the early hours. It's not that he can't sleep, it's because he's talking and texting to his boss.

It‘s really vast. But its main propaganda centers for meddling in the west are in St. Petersburg and Moscow. At Savushkina Street 55 in SPB is the so-called Internet Research Agency, which is a source of propaganda meddling. This is often phony Facebook posters, phony posts on boards such as the Washington Post letters pages, or even DU. There are centers with more sinister functions, such as directorates 74455 and 26165 of the GRU, Russian military intelligence, which, do some of what the IRA does, but also concentrate on penetration and disruption.
