. . .and Twitter handles and phone numbers of the AGs from the 17 states that have joined the Texas AG in filing that bogus bullshit lawsuit attempting to overturn Trump's defeat in November 2020.
IF YOU LIVE IN ANY OF THESE STATES, CALL THEM AND TWEET THEM.

(51,648 posts)I always call GOP reps and the phone number has never been a problem. Address verification is easy and takes 1 minite. Google "Zillow for homes for sale" in the specific states and cities of the reps you call. I get a valid address and zip code and make a call all in 2 minutes. It works every time I have done it (over 500 times in the last 4 years).

(22,600 posts)I discovered the Zillow trick a few years ago. As you say, it works a charm. I usually use an upper end address--don't want to be poor and worthless.
One problem: some sites require the 4-digit extension to the zip code. I can usually find it, but it takes work. Any ideas?
BigmanPigman
(51,648 posts)Usually they don't even ask for an address even though I have a Zillow one as backup (just in case they do mask). I don't see the point of an additional 4 digits for verification. I call GOP reps since I live in a Blue state but if a staffer did ask for MY real 9 digit zip code I wouldn't know it without having to look it up, no one knows their 9 digit number off the top of their head. That is a ridiculous thing to ask anyone.
When I first posted this practice of mine on DU a few years ago some people thought it was fraudulent and dishonest. When I look at the last 4 years of team tRump those comments have disappeared. I guess anything now is fair compared to what the criminal GOP constantly pulls.

He didnt run for re-election because he is basically persona non grata in the Indiana GOP, surprisingly.
Man is a gold-plated jerk, to put it mildly.

Others are doing it for political expediency.

(299 posts)One state can not sue another state on how they run their elections and choose delegates. The SCOTUS should reject this case based on this alone.... Now Texas wants to sue 4 swing states, and nullify millions and millions of people of these states, and yet they were not damaged by what these states have done with their elections, hence, Texas has no standing in this case. They receive no damages.... People can file anything they want, but this case will not make it to the SCOTUS based on thisalone.

I could post something stronger but it's against the rules
Question remains is anyone else sourcing such activism to protect our democracy?
