The 21 GOP Senators who have privately expressed their disdain for Trump are: Portman, Alexander, Sasse, Blunt, Collins, Murkowski, Cornyn, Thune, Romney, Braun, Young, Tim Scott, Rick Scott, Rubio, Grassley, Burr, Toomey, McSally, Moran, Roberts, Shelby. (2/3)
With few exceptions, their craven public silence has helped enable Trumps most grievous conductincluding undermining and discrediting the US the electoral system.
More from my appearance earlier on @CNN: (3/3)

(52,323 posts)So if these 21 actually wanted to do something other that whine, they could get the house to impeach again, then combine with all democratic senators to get more than the needed 67 votes to convict and remove Donnie.
Lock him up.

(10,109 posts)A real list of profiles in courage. I knew Sasse would be on this list. His luke warm, quarterly critical tweets have done a tremendous job curtailing this careening cabal of criminals.

(2,472 posts)hypocrites all the time, so of course. Yet, when you call or write to them, they say they were elected to further the president's agenda and that's what they intend to do. They make me sick.

(24,321 posts)they made the biggest mistake of their political career when they voted to acquit Trump on the impeachment charges. Absolutely inexcusable and unforgivable. We will never forget.

(10,839 posts)Their silence is their complicity in enabling the most destructive Administration in American history. There are no points of honor for bending to the will of a corrupt, wanna-be despot, no profiles in courage.
Their public silence has been devastating to the country and her people. Shame on all of them!

(5,376 posts)I'm sure McConnell has nothing but contempt for Trump. Trump is a useful idiot for him who provides political cover for him and his caucus.

(13,058 posts)Chilling. I'm glad the center held - our elections process and the legal system so far. My concern, as with many of course, is from now to Jan 20 when Biden is sworn in - what this dangerous man will continue to do to harm the country. Meanwhile morgues are overflowing with deceased covid patients. Their deaths do not weigh on him as any president of principle and integrity. He has no conscience. Sociopaths do not have a conscience.
