My reason is simple. I voted for him today. Voting for him again on the 6th would be a felony.
It's an old joke, I know.
Mrs. OBD went with me, and I'm confident she went along with the program.
Seriously: voter registration starts to close Friday in some states, and next week in many others. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE:
1) If you are not registered, and you are able to do so, please get registered ASAP. www.gottavote.org can help.
2) If you are registered, PLEASE 2x check if you have anything that needs fixing. Did you move? Get married? Get divorced since the last election. There is still time, but it is running out.
3) If you know anyone who supports the President, but is on the fence about whether to go vote, then drag their butts to their polling place; vote early and take them with you; or walk them step-by-step throu requesting an absentee ballot.
DON'T BE COMPLACENT. REMEMBER 2000 & 2004. YOUR VOTE COUNTS, AND WE NEED EVERY DAMN ONE OF 'EM!!!

(1,817 posts)I will be voting on November 6th, since South Carolina doesn't allow early voting. But I can't wait!
You see, I became a Citizen in March 2012, and the greatest motivation to obtain my citizenship this year was to be able to vote for President Obama!

(5,158 posts)I'll be voting for him, along with a straight Democratic ticket, on October 24. I'll likely be working all day on November 6th, so it would be easier for me to just vote early.

(7,358 posts)Because of the electoral college, my vote for Obama will be over-ridden by the majority who will vote for Romney. This is still a very Republican State and I wonder why I should even go through the trouble. We know this election will be decided in just several states anyway. Georgians are still fighting the ''Civil War'' folks.
