(53,061 posts)10. The day before the election I was on a conference call with people on my professional team from
around the country on a phone link.
Someone said "I am not sure how much we will get done tomorrow because of the election"
I responded "Election? There is an election tomorrow? Why didn't someone say something? You would think someone would say something on the TV, that there would be commercials or something!!!"
After 5 minutes of cathartic howling laughter people calmed down and I said "who is running?" and the next 10 minutes dissolved into people laughing so hard they were crying. We never talk politics but I could tell the sensibilities of the people in the group and the emotional release was explosive.
By the way did they ever call Pennsylvania?

(7,964 posts)16. It wasn't impatience but amusement
There were 10 in a row stacked on top of each other, most with all caps headlines, and about 15 within a couple of minutes. It was just funny to see so many rush to be first. It was cool that the other sites caught up with what the AP had already called but it wasn't like it decided the election. We humans are funny sometimes.
