There is something important I truly feel the need to
say.
I write this to you with tears of joy in my old eyes.
For my lack of faith in you, I do apologize.
As the election of Joe and Kamala we can now proudly
celebrate,
I forgive you for the vote count that came in so darn
late.
I know I've called you names, as in Pennsyltucky.
But now to be a Pennsy gal, I'm feelin' pretty lucky.
Remember in the 90s when I moved to the great
Northwest,
I didn't last two years there cuz Philly cheese steaks
are the best.
So because you went for Biden, my dear home state
of Pennsylvania,
We won't endure four more years that would have
turned us into Transylvania!

(1,347 posts)Please note that PA Democrats wanted to start counting mail-in ballots before election day, but Republicans blocked the change.
Also note this was our first year of having mail-in ballots in PA, and no one expected a pandemic when the law was passed.

(5,740 posts)Joe carried the state by a narrow margin and he was absolutely our best candidate to swing the state.
PA is looking rather purple right now, and will likely stay that way for the immediate future as the Pubs have been gaining ground with voter registration.
