What a talented, ambitious (that's not an insult) woman!

She's already a great leader, and like others have said, beautiful in every way.

(14,649 posts)I just donated $100. I hope it helps! I'll donate again next month, or sooner if I can.
No matter how this turns out, and obviously I'm hoping we win, Stacey Abrams deserves our undying gratitude for all she's done and continues to do.

(17,865 posts)but we were both on the high school debate team of the high school we both attended. I think that is my greatest brush with fame (that or being classmates with Lenny Dykstra in 9th grade - I would rather not mention that).
She and the party pulls this one off - it will be one for the ages. She already has made an impressive contribution.
I have already sent my contributions to each Senate candidate.

repug gerrymandering and to fund raise in a 50 state strategy to get us through 2022 and hold the House. Also in 2022 there are a boatload of repug Senators up for re-election, way more than Dems. We have a good chance to win some additional Senate seats then.
After that, IMO a higher office is in her future.

(10,135 posts)How can we help make this happen after January? And I wonder whether she would want it. But what a way to recognize all that she and black women have done for the Democratic Party and the whole get out the vote effort.

(21,478 posts)because I just remember reading it "somewhere." I read that up to 200,000 voters were purged from the voting rolls in Georgia, if true, I hope someone is working to get them reinstated. Anyone else set me straight?

(53,962 posts)was Secretary of State. It was a blatant conflict of interest and most of those purged voters where African Americans who would've most likely voted for her. In other words, the repugs stole the election.
Since then she has worked to stop the vote suppression and she's been successful as Georgia has turned blue.

(67,782 posts)....go to the candidate's committee directly without a transaction fee.
What I may have "complained" about was the way some solicit contributions not just for the candidates themselves but break up contributions between candidates and several peripheral groups.
Interesting that you're commenting on it here but not in that thread itself.

(3,022 posts)it's that other ActBlue that is the bad one. It can be difficult to tell them apart. Perhaps further investigation will reveal a distinction between them.
