I always hated this overrated horsefaced fuck, and I knew he was a huge dbag Rethuglican when he said Newt Gingrich was a modern day Thomas Jefferson.
Fuck him, he looks like the horse Ann rode in on!

ProudToBeBlueInRhody
(16,399 posts)....he would have won a couple too. Actually, just the defense would have been enough for Marino. But people love to shit on Marino for never winning.
I'll also take Manning over Elway.

I remember how the media went all oogly-googly over Elway, especially the sports commentators. All we heard was running up to the game was "Elway! Elway! Elway!"
But guess what? Elway lost! And he was defeated by a team with *gasp* a black quarterback!
Doug Williams was the first African-American quarterback ever to start in a NFL league championship game, let alone a Super Bowl

Of course Washington has sucked since 91. I blame their jerky republican owner...

Mitt Romney expected to bring in $7.5m during Boston area fundraisers on Friday
WASHINGTON -- Mitt Romneys presidential campaign is expected to bring in $7.5 million during fundraisers Friday night in the Boston area, making it the biggest Massachusetts fundraisers hes had and providing him with fresh funds at a key moment in the race.
Romney is appearing with his running mate, Paul Ryan, at a reception at the Chestnut Hill home of former Reebok CEO Paul Fireman, followed by a $75,000-a-plate dinner at the home of New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft.

(4,238 posts)I always thought he was a teabagger. Have read that he is vehemently anti-union.
Floyd_Gondolli
(1,277 posts)Definitely not a Teabagger. You must have read that on World Net Daily or some other source with no credibility.
If anything his donations have sided slightly more with the Democratic party, particularly the DNC congressional campaign committees. But it's not unusual for owners of large businesses to donate to both sides to cover their asses.
He was also universally praised by the player's union after the NFL lockout last year for his work in finding a resolution.
Not sure about his son's politics, but RK is a solid, well respected citizen.
ProudToBeBlueInRhody
(16,399 posts)Fuck Bob Kraft. He benefits from the weakest union in pro sports and his BFF Roger trying to smash the refs union.
Floyd_Gondolli
(1,277 posts)Fuck YOU.
Kraft was praised by the union following the lockout. Know your facts.
Great finish to the season by the Pirates BTW..
ProudToBeBlueInRhody
(16,399 posts)The Red Stinx? Talk about
The NFL players union members are abused spouses and they don't even know it. Many will once they retire, they are 50 and can't walk or talk and get shit as far as pension and medical.
Floyd_Gondolli
(1,277 posts)But I do know FACTS, which is something you appear to be woefully short on.
Do you even follow the NFL at all?
And didn't Goodell fine Kraft hundreds of thousands of dollars after SpyGate while taking away a 1st round pick? But yeah, I'm sure they're the best of friends.
The Red Stinx? Are you 12?
ProudToBeBlueInRhody
(16,399 posts)Whether you like it or not, Rog and Bobby are best buds. Every time a beer bottle opens at Patriot Place, Rog is up there cutting a ribbon for it. Bob, Jerrah and J Arthur Crank run the fucking league and Goodell is their puppet. So the fuck what if he helped end the lockout? I'm sure it wasn't some magnanimous gesture on his part. He blubbered on that it had something something to do with his wife passing away or whatever....now that his old ass is mounting some 30 year old trophy wannabe actress I guess he's over it.....
As far as Rog fining them and taking a pick and being sore about it, what, was he supposed to just ignore it? Cheatriots fans should thank their lucky stars that whole thing was swept under the rug and they weren't named, say....the New Orleans Saints.
Anyway, Jonathan Kraft hosted Rmoney's recent fundraiser in Boston....so the fuck you stands. Typical 1%ers hedging their fucking bets. Fuck every owner in pro sports for that matter, except Mark Cuban.
Floyd_Gondolli
(1,277 posts)In other words, make it something more than just your opinion. You've stated it as fact, now prove it.
In other news, you are not very articulate.
ProudToBeBlueInRhody
(16,399 posts)And you're the one accusing me of not watching the NFL?
A quick search (because I don't have all night to educate fans of a team that boycotts the Super Bowl unless they are in it) comes up with this mutual admiration society....
Lemme guess, you're going to bitch they're just saying a few nice things about one another like any owner/commish would.....
Also.....
http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2010/05/pomp_circumstan.html
(That's from the Boston Globe by the way, not ESPN which you Patriots fans think is "biased" against you, of course.)
You seem to think you're a pretty smart guy....stop being so obtuse. You probably also think Jim Nantz and Phil Simms don't praise Tom Brady enough.
Have a nice day.

(1,277 posts)Show me something genuine. Something REAL other than imagery for the cameras.
You've shown a mastery of digging up old YouTube clips. Bravo. I'll call the Justice Department or FBI. Perhaps they could use someone with your extreme research skills. You could revolutionize the way we fight crime.
By the way, Bill Clinton and Mitt Romney were recently on the same stage at the Clinton Global Initiative. Does that mean they are friends as well?
I guess it does according to your tortured logic.
ProudToBeBlueInRhody
(16,399 posts)....of course....

We KNEW he is a Republican. All we have to look at his ex-wife Janet. A breast cancer survivor, mother of his two kids, and he dumped her for a trophy wife.

(4,788 posts)I'm just waiting for his most recent idiocy, Peyton Manning, to be sacked, reinjure his neck and go on the disabled list. And that's only if Manning is lucky and doesn't wind up paralyzed. I checked on Steve Bisciotti, owner of the Ravens (GO RAVENS!) and was pleased to see that his political donations tend Democratic. That, along with Brendon Ayanbadajo's support for Question 6 (marriage equality in Maryland), makes me proud to support the Ravens.
