(27,251 posts)In fact, I'm considering a vacation there after the COVID crisis subsides. I can't believe I've gone my entire life without visiting the birthplace of American democracy.

Don't miss the on-again, off-again bus tour; the Zoo; walking along the Schuylkill; visiting the Rocky statue at the Art Museum; Rittenhouse Square; and if you have the time, going up to Germantown and the Main Line.

(4,726 posts)It is a beautiful city, I was there for a conference, and got an amazing rate on a bed and breakfast in an 18th century home. The B&B was delightful. I don't know when I've ever felt so pampered! Down bedding and all. And in coming and going from the conference site, history all around.

And today? I love what I'm seeing in the streets, an expression of sheer joy and pride.
