Pardon by Pence and Flight by Trump scenarios

1. “Pardon by Pence” is not a sure thing. What would a pardon for Trump do for Pence ? I can’t see any benefit for Pence. Would Trump pay Pence $ 100 Million ? Campaign for Pence ? Lifetime membership at Trump casinos ?

Pence will have to live with what Joe, Kamala, Nancy, Schumer and America in general.

There are only 3 reasons that Trump will get a Pence Pardon: 1) Pence is in the real Trump cult deeper than a black hole. 2) Trump has some unknown threat to Pence that Pence will not stand up to. 3) Pence cuts a complicated deal with Joe and Kamala for his own reasons and somehow a pardon is part of this.


2. Trump escape to one of these: Russia, China, Saudi Arabia or a smaller country, probably in Middle East.

Why would one of those countries accept Trump ?
Possibility: They will demand and get all of Trump’s money.
Possibility: They will be able to score PR points against USA.
Possibility: They will get American national security secrets.

3. Who would transport Trump ?
1. Possibility: Air Force One while Trump is still President
2. Possibility: Private transport of John Doe Corporation / Billionaire
3. Possibility: Russia, China, Saudi Arabia or other country ?

4. Tracking:
1. Law enforcement, intelligent services, private individuals and every world president will know where Trump is.
2. Trump can’t keep a secret too long. He wants to project his fears and he wants to be in the spotlight.

5. The Trump Bubble:
1. Trump stays in America because he thinks he will not be arrested or can cut a deal with Joe and Kamala. Essentially, Trump bubble.
2. Trump cannot resist the media attention and blabs where is he.

6. Getting Trump out of his bubble. Set some bait that he can’t resist.

7. New extradition treaties can be made.

8. My confidence in the Democratic leadership on these issues is fairly good. The ways Speaker Pelosi, Joe Biden , Kamala Harris, .... and some news people Kristin Welker, Lesley Stahl, (sorry, I am missing so many prominent news women that deserve mention) were able to corral and bait Trump and get the admiration of blue voters is better than I imagined.

Pure speculation, mind you, but I can see Trump going there. Trump could charter the flight if he doesn’t own his own plane.

-he will also ask SCOTUS to rule on the legality of mail-in ballots. We don't know if any aliens are eligible to vote and the post office doesn't deliver to other planets. We may have to throw out all mailed ballots and delay the election until we can arrange voting procedures for Americans off planet

-Barr will submit a memo that the President is immune to prosecution by all intergalactic agencies.

9. I don't agree with your basic premise

First, Trump isn't going to run away. He can't since he needs his business to survive. Keep in mind that Trump is cash-poor. His "empire" is a cash-flow operation. He has to keep the money coming in to cover the expenses of his holdings. Additionally, just because he'll be out of the White House won't mean he'll shut up or that his cult won't continue to follow him.

Second, your Pence pardon scenario assumes that Trump makes a deal with Pence then resigns the presidency. Do you really think Trump will resign? It seems like a stretch to me but if he did, Pence's pardon could be crafted and sold as something "good for healing the country" or some such bullshit. It worked for Ford/Nixon.

Russia won't want Trump around. If he remains in the U.S., he could continue to sow chaos and distrust which destabilizes our nation and economy. Those are Putin's goals. He doesn't want to baby-sit the man-child.

China won't want Trump. Why would they? Same for Saudi Arabia. If they were to give the Trump's asylum, they would be ostracized by most of the world. Those countries need acceptance in the world's markets. Trump would be an impediment for them. Besides, why would they reward him? They think he's as big an ass as do you and I!

The new president won't make a deal with Trump. Why would/should he let Trump off the hook? His election will be largely due to his opposition to Trump. He would jeopardize his support if Biden were to go easy on Trump. Actually, I think Biden will keep his hands clean of any future Department of Justice investigations or prosecution of any of the Trumps or their enablers. Biden will probably let the DOJ resume its independence.

Regarding your suggestion that Trump may be able to trade national security details has some merit but you neglect an important point. Trump's brain is a sieve. Half the time, he doesn't even remember what day it is! He won't be able to remember any specific details (if he ever knew them). His potential to trade American secrets for his own security would also probably be criminal and could result in even more legal trouble.

A Pence pardon would remove any Federal crimes Trump may face. This would lift a significant amount of legal trouble for him. He'll still have trouble from NY State and other prosecutors around the country but maybe he thinks he can weather those storms.

I agree Biden will take a hands off approach, allowing the DOJ to revert to what it is supposed to be, but he WILL insist on in-depth investigations as to all the corruption that actually occurred.
