2. Yes, got it about a month ago.

No charge, since I've met my out-of-pocket maximum for the year (thanks, Obamacare!).

About a month ago and got our flu shots. I got the stronger shot for the first time. I thought Iíd maybe have a slight reaction (my bff had quite a reaction to it) but no problems at all. My arm wasnít even sore!

51. Yes, same here. Got both shots at the same time.

It's funny, because the only warning they gave me was telling my arm was going to be really sore for about 5 days, but my arm was barely sore at all.

However, I did come down with major flu symptoms (whole body aches, exhausted, couldn't focus or do much of anything, including eating) for two days afterward. I know it was just an immune system response, but I still felt like hell. By the third day I was feeling better, just a bit more tired than usual.

I'm a little young for a pneumonia shot, but for some reason, my new primary care doctor recommended it. Probably because I was having some chest pains when it was set up but I went through a number of tests including a nuclear PET scan and it turns out that I am fine. No heart damage at all and no blockage. My cholesterol is way down and so is my BP. It was probably just stress induced cardiac symptoms at the time since I was having a lot of anxiety about Trump and politics in general. I can't believe how much this bastard has fucked up my physical and mental health.

Normally would have gotten it a few weeks back during a doctor visit, but office visits are still curtailed. Got it at the drug store I use instead.

they looked it up and my pneumonia shots are up to date. Arm a little sore this morning but just locally. I should be good well into spring flu season.

26. My wife and I got the shots about three weeks ago

I had no ill effects, not even a sore arm. My wife complained about soreness but no other problems. I have grown three inches since I got the shot, but I am not sure it isn't just coincidence.

at my cardiologist's office while I was in for my INR check....at least a couple of month's ago.
The trick is to move your arm around a lot and gently massage the injection site.

52. Interestingly, there was no senior super-dose

available and I was told there might not be the rest of the winter. So I demured, called around, and found the pharmacy was correct: none in the county. So I went back a few days later (last week) and said I'd have whatever was available.

We just got the super-duper senior one in! Woot!

So I'm pumped with vaccine.

54. I can't. I react. Badly *

Fortunately for me, the only person I typically hang out with is my wife, and she gets her shot, so I won't get it from her.

I'm up-to date on most of my other vaccines. When I see my doctor next month, I'm going to ask about the pneumonia vaccine.

* Please don't suggest alternative vaccines. It's akin to when decades ago some friends suggested trying to find out which types of alcohol I'm allergic to (it turns out I can't tolerate any; I once spent the night in an emergency room because a restaurant's barbecue sauce). The concept of "Here, try this one and maybe it won't make you so sick you'd think you're going to die" doesn't have a big attraction factor.
