(10,149 posts)... Steve might be a bit better than Chuck, but don't rightly know... Steve did host his own show, but lost it and morphed into this "big board" hand waver. At least, he's willing to adapt to the producers' demands. I don't get Chuck's getting the MTP gig... why haven't the producers found another job for him? They think he's good as host?

(49,305 posts)Over the years, Chuck Todd has gotten worse and worse. I'll never understand how he got the Meet the Press gig in the first place. I remember when he was a fairly decent numbers and statistics guy, but he was never host material. Also, he has had some of the most smug, obnoxious conservatives on his show as regulars. Absolutely cringe-worthy.
Meanwhile, Kornacki is much too hyper as a rule, but he's never arrogant and smug.

(4,834 posts)own morning (Saturday?) show. He was very knowledgeable about NJ politics and it's when I first saw him.
Yeah, he's hyper and a little quirky sometimes, but I don't dislike him as I do Todd.

and
Tell Kornacki if he keeps waving his arms over the numbers on his charts and graphics so you cant clearly see the numbers hes supposedly trying to show us and lunging in front of them so you cant see what hes talking about, we will be rapidly finishing plans for HIS good-bye party.

I think Kornacki still has some value, if he could just dial it down a bit. I often find his statistics and analysis rather interesting, but he becomes too much of a distraction. So many cable news personalities allow themselves to become the focus instead of the news. If I'm paying more attention to you, your personality, your appearance, or your delivery, than I am to the story, then you've failed. Time to consider a career change.
