I've said that we will need a "new normal" like how we adjusted after 9/11 since February/March. It will mean we will wear mask, socially distance and avoid crowded situations.

However, their definition of "learning to live with COVID" is do nothing and act like nothing is happening, which is completely wrong take on it.

The administration is trying to get us to learn to live with COVID they are still trying to pretend it doesn't exist.

They tend to be able to take a "common sense" term or ideology, but then totally twist the meaning of it. So when you listen to the slogan like "learning to live with COVID", "personal responsibility", and "fiscal responsibility", all of those sounds good to the average person. But if you listen closely to what they actually mean, it's total crap because they aren't doing what they are saying.

PS. I used to be those average person that didn't take a deep dive into what they mean and thought they made sense from the slogans and 10 second soundbite.

We need to fight it but don't fight their slogans. Fight what they actually mean.

We must use COVID to direct us into modifying our lives. Pandemics are going to become common. We are destroying habitat resulting in humans living near and interacting wildlife. Viruses are going to continue jumping species. We have to start adjusting our lives to be able to live with pandemics. Changing to online shopping, pickup, or delivery for basically everything. Construction of quarantine centers. New PPE for us commoners.

Just yesterday, I read an article from, I think, British epidemiologists who believe Covid is here to stay and will become as seasonal as the flu.

So she may not be wrong there.

I related I was reading things from medical professionals. Yes, a vaccine will help. But it may stick around. They don’t know yet.

Good grief. Right-wing talking points. Are you serious with that? These were epidemiologists I was referencing.

But it seem like it's way too early to tell that IMHO. What virus are we going to "live with" next? Ebola? Something new and worse?

I was just relating what I was reading. That even with a vaccine, it may mutate and stick around much like the flu. But, of course, far more deadly and damaging to survivors.

Ivanka and Trump's definition of "learn" is to do nothing and act like COVID is not a thing. That's the wrong take of it.

The correct take on "learn" is to adjust how we live, like wear a mask, socially distance, avoid crowded situations, restrict things when we see a spike in transmission, etc.

So no, she is still wrong there, even though the phase "learning to live with COVID" is correct.

tRUMP was spewing Covid Cooties like a volcano?

Or did she receive luxurious service and protection to avoid tRUMP's Covid Cooties for her immediate family at taxpayers expense?

Perhaps she can play real life and get a real job on her own without frauds and cons learned from daddy (and Russian money) to show the world how intelligent and successful she really is at being a star.
