Is a small reason why Hillary did lose (the electoral college). Despite having control of the US congress and a high riding Obama wave, the Dems couldn't even get a modest increase to the FMW enacted. They missed the ball on many other issues as well. They expand the wars and allow the Bush tax cuts to pass.

So when Hillary ran, the idea was "they are all the same" had merit, so lets elect the guy who "seemed different". There were many other factors causing Clinton to lose, no need to rehash again.

Now Trump is no longer a "I hope he is this" guy, we know what he is, a lamebrain jackass who is nothing more than a more stupid and vile version of Ted Cruz. He is enacting all the same bat shit right wing crap Cruz would be doing had he gotten elected, minus the crazy tweets.

Republicans are brazen. They DO NOT even win the popular vote yet govern like they got 80% of the country, advancing the most insidious right wing shit ever. Democrats win the PV by millions upon millions and can't even increase the lowest rage level by a stupid fucking dollar.

It's WHY the party has struggled. You don't necessarily need to move way to the left, but get off the damn middle.
