She was still lucid the other day and filled out her Colorado ballot. She died a few hours ago.
So get out there and vote!

Pancreatic cancer is the worst. Hardly shows any early symptoms. I just read somewhere that after five years, only 7% of people are still alive. After ten years, only 2%.

As for voting? My husband and I voted this weekend. The polling stations have been crazy crowded. A very good sign.

(5,301 posts)About a year ago, we had a scare. It turns out that my wife didn't have pancreatic cancer, but she does have a pancreatic enzyme deficiency. But as long as she keeps taking her prescription enzyme capsules, she's fine.
I do hope your friend's vote gets counted. But even if it turns out not to, at least she died having enjoyed voting against the bastard.

(6,697 posts)I live in a senior village with everything from active living to hospice on campus. I have lived here only a few years, but I've never seen anything like this. People are heck bent on getting the ballot in, just in case they are dead before Nov 3.
