I do NOT feel anxious. I do NOT feel angry.
I feel calm.
I feel reassured.

(32,762 posts)I was going to watch some of the highlights. Aaron Rupar does a lot of great snippets of his rallies. But not tonight. Im going to enjoy this calm

(24,467 posts)Joe was on his game. Trump was on his game, as well. The contrast - and stakes - for this country cannot be greater.

(63,845 posts)to be calm and having some sanity.
It was good to listen to truth and honesty. That has been missing for a long time.
VP Biden will get us out of this darkness and hate.

He's a consensus builder.
Something sorely lacking in this year of all years of crisis.

(81,238 posts)Ballots arrived today (Thursday the 15th) and my husband and I filled them out within an hour of the mails arrival. Drove down to the official ballot drop box in our city hall parking lot, and dropped em in, all signed and sealed.
Two more votes in for Biden/Harris!

(14,274 posts)Two more coming tomorrow courtesy of my wife and me.

He has not addressed one thing for us, the people.
He's talking to fast, panicked. Still no plan for anything.
The con is full of ***t.

(11,605 posts)Because I'm rooting for him and I'm always nervous he'll say the wrong thing. That's not unique to Biden though. I remember being very nervous for Obama's first debate with McCain, and for his second and third debates with Romney after the first one went so poorly.
AdamGG
(1,291 posts)I remember the 1st Romney debate as more of a lethargic performance by Obama and a very strong, well prepped performance from Romney. I had so much confidence in Obama, that I had no doubt that after that subpar debate that he would come back with his A game for the next two.
I feel more anxious about Joe because he has been gaffe prone at times and because the fate of humanity is kind of riding on this. But, I have no doubt that he will be a stable hand on the rudder as president, who will seek out and listen to the reasoned advice of experts across the board.

(10,167 posts)Halfway through Trump's performance, I was totally exhausted by his anger, aggression, obfuscation and manic lying. The guy really wears people out. This country won't survive four more years of Trump's unending chaos and confusion. Save us, Joe!

(300 posts)Joe is a man whose time to lead has at last come, and we need him and Kamala so desperately at the helm!

(45,433 posts)we can build back better, more liberal, and do good things, but things will be less crazy with Biden and Harris in charge.

(63,845 posts)with the world. Gee, Bush screwed our image in the world for 8 years. We cannot have this POS steal the election again
Let's make his safe house (WH) our house again.
It will need to be fumigated from top to bottom, and oh, replace the toilets too.

(86 posts)But as the campaign season has progressed I've become more and more comfortable with Joe. No more anxiety about having chosen the right candidate, especially with Kamala as his VP. Whatever political differences we have, I believe he is a good and compassionate man who will make the American people his priority.

(6,265 posts)as a 70ish member of the Democratic Party, I have voted in many an election. I have voted again and I also feel a lot of anxiety over this election and the implied threat that trumps militias/brownshirts pose to our democracy when he overwhelmingly loses. May the forces opposed to d. trump be strong enough to put down the sedition he has implied with "stand back and stand by" and perp walk him off the White House grounds.
