Barrett did not respond with anything like the irritated umbrage she showed when asked pertinent questions about her judicial history and views by Harris, Klobuchar, and other Democrats.

(13,903 posts)In true fundamentalist conservative christian family structure or even far right Catholic family structure, this woman would not presume to be an SC Justice.
She would not presume to use her maiden name as well has her husbands. She would be at home, managing the child rearing and house work.
Feminism is bad, except for the feminism the right chooses to tolerate.
It was a sexist question, but for a woman who purports to be an adherent to traditional family roles it points out exactly the right's hypocrisy.
Traditional roles it turns out are not so traditional and more flexible than they would admit. Instead the right uses it a political weapon.
I am not even certain what he thought the "right" answer to that question should be.
