Like the frog boiling, we have allowed ridiculous barriers to voting

Voter ID, ridiculous, unconstitutional

Witness signatures

Intentional confusion, lies about mail in ballot fraud etc.

Removal of the voting rights act because it worked too good, dear God

2. I never knew there were so many obstacles that republicans could try to use to

keep people from voting! What's next? A test asking voters how many marbles in a jar?

4. I hope that he tries at least

Oh my goodness, what a mess poor Biden and Harris will inherit.

We must put the fairness doctrine back in so the hate media does not immediately call for civil war.

7. No issue with showing ID. I have show it in Illinois and our state

makes voting and registration for voting as easy as it can be. Having IDs to vote is not voter suppression tactic. Having ONE polling station for 20,000 voters is.

9. YOu have to have id to register, requiring to vote is suppression and unconstitutional

https://www.pubintlaw.org/cases-and-projects/judge-rules-voter-id-law-unconstitutional/

this is PA only but just one example...

We have been conditioned to think voter id vs REGISTRATION id is normal, it is NOT

https://www.azmirror.com/2020/10/07/a-supreme-court-ruling-on-the-voting-rights-act-opened-the-floodgates-for-new-restrictions/

That the SC is full of rightwing fascists has zip to do with whether or not voter id is constitutional or not.

Eric Holder, the Attorney General at the time, called Texas’s 2011 voter ID law a “poll taxOpens a new window” (harkening back to the Jim CrowOpens a new window era) because it essentially forced ID-less citizens to buy one for the sole purpose of voting. And while most white voters in Texas already have a valid form of ID, large numbers of minorities—including 25% of African-Americans—do not. Voter ID requirements regularly disenfranchise students, racial and ethnic minorities, low-income citizens, and the elderly. A federal appeals court recently struck downOpens a new window North Carolina’s voting law, saying that it targeted African Americans with “almost surgical precision.” There are countless other examples Opens a new windowof bias Opens a new windowand discrimination Opens a new windowin our election laws and practices.
