FOUND VOTER FRAUD!! BALLOTS DESTROYED!!

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A postal employee in New Jersey dumped more than 1,800 pieces of mail, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

Nicholas Beauchene, 26, of Kearny, faced arraignment later in the day on charges of delay, secretion or detention of mail and obstruction of mail. It was not known if he had retained a lawyer.

The mail included 99 ballots for the upcoming election, and more than 600 pieces of first class mail.

The approximately 1,875 pieces of discarded mail was recovered from trash dumpsters in North Arlington and West Orange on Oct. 2, and Oct. 5., prosecutors said. It had been scheduled to be delivered to addresses on certain postal routes in Orange and West Orange.

The AP item doesn't say that ballots were destroyed, only that they were "dumped." n/t Eyeball_Kid Oct 2020 #1

Voter Fraud -- an voter doing something fraudulent. So negligible not worth wasting time looking for.

Election Fraud -- action that corrupts the outcome through systematic or individual action (i.e., everything the republicans are doing to prevent votes being cast or counted from Democratic strongholds).

We could write off as felony mail theft (he stole and dumped mail), but the fact there were ballots in the mix makes it a double crime (mail theft and electoral fraud).

Any bets on where the vast majority of the mail was going?

Orange, NJ

The racial makeup of the township was 12.80% (3,857) White, 71.83% (21,645) Black or African American, 0.57% (173) Native American, 1.51% (455) Asian, 0.02% (6) Pacific Islander, 9.95% (2,999) from other races, and 3.32% (999) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 21.67% (6,531) of the population.

West Orange

The racial makeup of the township was 67.6% White, 17.5% African American, 0.14% Native American, 8.09% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 3.52% from other races, and 3.20% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 10.04% of the population.

is such a soft target.

While mail in balloting is safe and a good way to vote - it is only so because we are a civilized civic minded country that mostly follows democratic norms.

If white militias feel threatened by democracy - there is no saying what they will do. Box stuffing, vandalism , destruction etc could all become tools for them to keep power. Trump is giving them Ideas and I am sure papa Putin and KGB will provide dozens more along with intel on which areas to target.

It is the sort of thing deliberately misinterpreted on the right at present, though, and the headline could be an effort at mocking this.

If it was intended as sarcastic commentary, though, it would have worked better if it were clearly an added comment. By using it as a substitute headline/title, I think it confuses the issue.
