7. Regeneron makes it

He took a antibody cocktail made by Regeneron. Billionaire CEO happens to be golf buddy of trump. Stocks have gone up recently.

This is from Regeneron's Position Statement on Stem Cell Research

All of Regeneron’s research conducted on stem cells adheres to federal and state laws and
regulations. Regeneron demands from its collaborators and vendors that all human stem cell
lines used in its research are from properly consented individuals.

10. Stem cells don't come from aborted fetuses.

They usually come from pre embryos in petri dishes.

The RWNJ's don't understand the difference, but we should.

Regeneron typically uses:

The stem cells most commonly used at Regeneron are mouse embryonic stem cells and human blood stem cells.

The human embryonic stem cells it uses are NOT from abortions:

Currently, there are limited research efforts employing human-induced pluripotent stem cell lines derived from adult human cells and human embryonic stem cells that are approved for research use by the National Institutes of Health and created solely through in vitro fertilization.

Trump's uses the more common combination (mouse embryonic stem cells + human blood stem cells)

What is the antibody cocktail Trump received?

It’s a combination of two antibodies directed against a key protein of the virus that causes COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2. They bind to a region on the main surface spike protein that helps the virus attach to a receptor on human cells called angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. The targeted region is dubbed the receptor binding domain. One antibody comes from a human who had recovered from a SARS-CoV-2 infection; a B cell that makes the antibody was harvested from the person’s blood and the genes for the immune protein isolated and copied. The other antibody is from a mouse, which was engineered to have a human immune system, that had the spike protein injected into it.

There are many sources for stem cells - and whoever started this rumor apparently assumed all stem cells were (1) embryonic and (2) from aborted fetuses.

specifically uses tissue from mice? Any way, yes, stem cells, and yes, those against abortion are really against stem cells -- but the bigger issue is, do you really want to act as if stem cells are somehow a bad thing? They are absolutely essential to progress in finding treatment and cures for many diseases.

Just wanted to say, I do not believe the drug he's taking, and I've heard has a stake in, are using human stem cells taken from aborted fetuses. Just wanting people to be careful when they post and check and re-check any sources.
