(892 posts)I do tend to look at DU mostly on my iPhone and think a search function would be a nice addition.
Maybe it is something to think about?

(2,624 posts)I have a vague memory that, back in the day, there would be a reminder before you could post in GD: "Good citizens check for duplicates," or something to that effect.
Maybe we should bring it back?

(9,213 posts)on something, only to then turn around and create their own new post on the same thing with the same headline like 10 minutes later while mine was just a few rows below theirs.
I think DU should have volunteers to filter out duplicates, or have an automatic thing that searches their headline for any in the current top 100 and show any that look similar.
