I do tend to look at DU mostly on my iPhone and think a search function would be a nice addition.

Maybe it is something to think about?

The main page of GD had around a 11 minute difference from the newest to the oldest thread. Things were flying to the point where I couldn't find the Cam Newton thread not long after it was posted.

I have a vague memory that, back in the day, there would be a reminder before you could post in GD: "Good citizens check for duplicates," or something to that effect.

Maybe we should bring it back?

on something, only to then turn around and create their own new post on the same thing with the same headline like 10 minutes later while mine was just a few rows below theirs.

I think DU should have volunteers to filter out duplicates, or have an automatic thing that searches their headline for any in the current top 100 and show any that look similar.
