For one thing, if he dies now, it would throw the election and the country into chaos, even more than it already is. Also it's important that the Republicans see a Biden victory as a repudiation of Trumpism, but if Trump dies, they would claim he would have won if the "China virus" hadn't gotten him.

After he loses the election, I won't wish for his death, but I won't really care what happens to him any more than he cares about the other 200,000+ Americans who have died in this pandemic.
