Nicolle Wallace explains how Trump's debate behavior (toward Biden, Chris Wallace, the American People, and the World) was abusive, and it was intentional.

(2,759 posts)I can truly say, I am extremely impressed by the restraint demonstrated by Joe. Some are criticizing him for calling him 'clown', telling him to 'shut up' and a few other minor retaliations. he was a freaking SAINT! That was some presidential emotional intelligence (JOE only) on display IMO. Most folks would have gone off on him under such an insane, rude, and unrelenting assault of abuse.

(12,630 posts)Joe shouldn't have done this or that, but the abuser is never held to any standard.
The wife with the black eye demanding that no one speak ill of her abuser.
Disgusting. The MSM has a lot to answer for in all of this mess. Their craven desire for everything to be a horse-race and he said.. she said false equivalence is why we are here right now.

Seeing the performance last night, is anyone doubting that Old Yeller is an active serial rapist or worse?

(109 posts)What's Trump going to say that will get me to vote for him?
It's a charade.

(5,755 posts)Some of us realize it, and some not. Were being gaslit every day with things that hes denied saying despite proof of his lies being on tape. Were being told were helpless and need him to survive right now, or radicals and leftists will destroy this country. He uses charisma and false charm to convince us that he loves us, but when hes caught betraying us again like clockwork, he lies and gaslights us into blaming and fighting amongst ourselves. And, when we speak out against him, he tries to intimidate us (at times physically, like his debate with Hillary), plays the victim, or threatens to hurt us.
Donald Trump is an abuser. America knows it, at least on some level. We are all stuck in various stages of being abused and processing the trauma its causing us.

(94,107 posts)Pundits (not her) keep going on about the suburban white women who voted for Trump in 2016, yet I have always wondered how any woman could ever have done so. We had abundant evidence of his abusive nature before that election, and his behavior toward Hillary on the debate stage, especially the Stalking, was just the icing on the cake.
