I just made another round of contributions.
They add up to $460, which is a lot of money for a 70-year-old retiree living on Social Security and University of Missouri pension. But I want desperately to get these loathsome Republicons OUT of office! I will make another round of contributions in about three weeks when my Social Security comes in. I gave to:
Biden/Harris, $60
Nicole Galloway, Democratic candidate for Missouri governor, $25
Lindsey Simmons, Democratic candidate for Congress in Missouri's 4th congressional district, $25
And all the rest of these are Democrats around the country running for the Senate (since we don't have a Senate race here in Missouri this time around), all $25 contributions:
Amy McGrath, Kentucky
MJ Hegar, Texas
Sara Gideon, Maine
Theresa Greenfield, Iowa
Cal Cunningham, North Carolina
Mark Kelly, Arizona
Jaime Harrison, South Carolina
Doug Jones, Alabama (my home state, Roll Tide!)
Jeanne Shaheen, New Hampshire
John Hickenlooper, Colorado
Raphael Warnock, Georgia
Jon Ossof, Georgia
Steve Bullock, Montana
Mike Espy, Mississippi
I got my ballot in the mail Saturday. Because voting in September for a November election just seems wrong to me, I will fill out the ballot in two or three weeks and hand-deliver it to the county clerk's office (just in case I can't trust the USPS).
And, as I said, one more round of contributions after my Social Security for October comes in.
