In Missouri, where I live and pay taxes, we have a itemized (if you itemize on your federal return) limit on the state return of I think $10,000, thus a lot of the massive tax credits / deductions are rendered mute in doing state returns.
I wonder just how many state tax returns trump has committed fraud on or fudged the numbers on? I know that he has properties in NY, New Jersey, Florida, etc.

(23,943 posts)can imagine how trump screws around his numbers in such locations, i.e., undervalue his property values grossly, or understate his revenues to pay less sales taxes, etc.?

(23,943 posts)that I'm constantly amazed when I hear of the schemes they come up with (I was an auditor, tax accounting in my former work life).

(23,943 posts)catch as I have a friend who works at a local bar, and the owners never filed any of the state required paperwork to indicate the number of hours he worked, pay, etc., thus he was unable to get the $1200 stimulus payment. He's pissed and is still trying to get them to file the paperwork. God, when is enough, enough for these people?

(15,751 posts)The 'concept' being, those were taxes due that trump actually had to, and did pay.
