Background:

Using the Google Search Engine, I came up with two identical search phrases and added 'site:democraticunderground.com' to the second phrase. This allows a search of the Democratic Underground website to be conducted. If you care to replicate any of the searches above, there are quite a few interesting stories. The resultant record size of each search speaks volumes to the amount of investigative reporting that has already been done.

Panama Papers:

The Panama Papers are 11.5 million leaked documents that detail financial and attorney–client information for more than 214,488 offshore entities.

The Paradise Papers:

The Paradise Papers are a set of 13.4 million confidential electronic documents relating to offshore investments that were leaked to the German reporters Frederik Obermaier and Bastian Obermayer, from the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung.

The Paradise Papers are essentially version 2.0 of the Panama Papers, albeit smaller with 1.4 terabytes of data leaked compared with 2.6 terabytes in the 2016 Panama Papers leak.

Russian Business Ties:

In January 2017, BuzzFeed News reported the existence of the unverified Trump–Russia dossier (also called the Steele dossier), which alleges connections between Trump associates and Russia. In response to ongoing questions in May 2017, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that Trump has no business connections to Russia. In addition, both Trump and his son have also reiterated Trump has no business connections to Russia.

They say that the NYT story reveals that Trump inflated income to get loans, inflated expenses to get tax deductions, which we already suspected from many reports and comments, but this is evidence of it.

They played Trump's response from a press conference and predictably his first words were, "Fake news. All of it."

Their political analyst said he belueved that this might actually affect his base numbers. He expects to see buttons popping up overnight that say, "I paid more taxes than Donald Trump.

If this comes up in the debate, which is likely, how will Biden respond to the fake news excuse? I hope he's got a good comeback.
