During the primary season that year, he promised that if he didn't get the Republicon nomination, he wasn't going to try to keep his Senate seat. And then, of course, when he didn't get the Republicon nomination, he ran for re-election to his Senate seat.
Typical Republicon lies and hypocrisy.
