Devin K. Moon: Polk man wanted 'new life' with 13-year-old girl

A 26-year-old Winter Haven man who investigators say had online sex with a 13-year-old Wisconsin girl was arrested Friday.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office became aware of Devin K. Moon in August, when the girl's father found evidence of their relationship, deputies said.

They exchanged phone numbers and she told him her address and the name of her school. As their conversations became sexual, he sent the child a picture of his genitals and she sent him nude photos, the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies went to Moon's home Friday. He told them he planned to travel to Wisconsin Oct. 5 and bring the girl to Florida, where they would "start a new life together," they said. Moon told detectives he planned to meet the girl near dumpsters behind her school, which he found on online satellite maps
