(12,712 posts)It seems to me he had a choice between a potential felony or two or three, (conspiracy and interfering with the US mail) and preferred to perjure himself.
Ah, he probably doesn't have enough time to go through a trial and then get pardoned before we boot his "boss" out of our White House.
I would wonder what the deal they made was.

(14,924 posts)He then went on to ask DeJoy if his backup plan was "to be pardoned like Roger Stone!" DeJoy nearly blew a gasket.

(34,661 posts)finaly came to light. ATA has always been a slimmed up operation and DeJoy and his Company kind led the way. Not to forget, the ATA,American Trucking Association was one of the Main Conduits used by Bush and Cheney for their Money operations. And the ATA in one of the larger money outfits for the GOP.

(1,389 posts)This process started with Reagan and the Chicago school boys. I just keeps getting uglier. We have the richest guy in Congress running for our governor (Montana). he doesn't want to preserve what's here. As Governor he can grease wheels for those that will support him in whatever his next power play is.
Ronald Reagan started the god damned fairy tail that the government is worthless and wants to take your hard earned money and give it to the lazy "other". But it's slight of hand. While you are keeping an eagle eye out for the welfare queen they privatize the military industrial complex with cost plus, no bid contracts. I still want to know how a cost plus, no bid contract saves the customer (us) money. it's a gravy train. Dejoy bought himself a scam that has been 40 years in the making. Red meat Republicans are buying Q. Subtle, real power plays are being successfully pulled off with no sense of shame.

(28,506 posts)Dead give-away that he's lying, per this article in the US National Library of Medicine: Detecting false intent using eye blink measures. I was so struck by his blinking I looked it up to see if that was, indeed, a sign of lying. It was so... blatant.
