It's not a protest in North Carolina until the banjo comes out.
This is a great moment in Greensboro, North Carolina as we protest outside Louis DeJoy's mansion.

Notice the sign that says "I'm tired". Aren't we all?
Here's the Youtube video with the lyrics featuring Joe Troop thanks to cayugafalls

Probably a singer/songwriter modifying a traditional bluegrass song. Possibly a song in the tradition of Woody Guthrie (check out his song - "All You Fascists Bound To Lose" or Pete Seeger
I love the sound of the banjo, especially with the mandolin - reminds me of my "picker" son.
EDIT TO ADD: "music and lyrics by Joe Troop". A very talented young man - very talented.
Also edit to correct 1st line of song.

(61,653 posts)It's in the protest song tradition, but this is bluegrass and this musician knows what he's doing. That's powerful because it will resonate with other bluegrass musicians and fans - and they tend to be more on the conservative side of politics.

(5,641 posts)There is hope. I think dump really fucked up this time.
I hope we continue to hammer the right on this message. It touches everyone in the US on a daily basis.
Every time the letter carrier comes by, you are reminded of what is going on. You don't need the media to hammer a message home, it arrives, or not, every day.

(2,626 posts)Just text USPS to 50409
You will be asked a couple of questions and then your name will be added to the list of over 1 Million Americans who have already signed. I'm not on Twitter but apparently there's a long list going (you can opt out of having your name appear) that's driving even more signatures.
You can also DM USPS to @resistbot on Twitter or Messenger.

(15,540 posts)So nice to see these sort of protests in NC. Used to live there for about ten years and miss a lot of it, especially the geography of the state.
Took me awhile when I moved up north to stop greeting people with "hey".
