Trump really screwed the pooch on this USPS thing.

Now the stories about sorting machines being removed, blue boxes being removed, post office hours being cut have exploded and Trump will be blamed. As he should be. Aside from COVID and the economy woes, this is the biggest negative story of the 2020 election season. And it should seal his fate, because the dummy did the one thing which would hit rural America hard - wreck the Postal Service. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania on an RFD route. That stands for Rural Free Delivery. We knew the mailman personally and gave him Christmas presents. It is the same all over rural America. Yes UPS, FedEX and Amazon have cut into business. But rural people still highly depend on and trust the Postal Service. This one thing could finally sour some of the Trumpers on Trump. It is idiotic. I cannot figure it out.

I have more experience with UPS and they deliver to the destination USPS facility and the postman then makes the final delivery. For one thing, UPS doesn't have a box to place the package in. The USPS does so that makes it very attractive for final destination to be handed off to the USPS carrier. Will those packages set there for 2-3 days before their turn comes up for delivery?

You can't fix stupid.

The real answer is most likely in his convoluted banking and tax records.

But, also think Putin has the "goods" on Donald. I bet those "goods" are doozies. And, I want to know!

I can't even imagine what various foreign powers have on this man, and on Jared, too! I believe they both have revealed classified information to these powers. We already know Donald revealed info to the Russians while he met with them privately (and somewhat secretly) in the Oval Office. We only found out because the Russians revealed it (with pictures) to their news agency!

Do you have any idea who's on the Election Commission? I guess I could look it up tomorrow -- well, later today, lol.

I always wondered. Mayberry RFD!

And not just rural postmen. I live in an old suburb, houses close to each other. My mailman has been delivering to my house for... crap, I can't even count the years. He used to get mad at my dogs, who of course barked like mad until he walked away ["see what we did Mom?! We chased him away again, he's gone!"]. The mailbox is right by the front door, barely have to open the screen door to collect it, so they were always close to him, especially in the summer. Eventually he just stopped coming onto the porch and just threw the mail up. I got pissed and went to the post office to complain, and apparently, they told him to put the damn mail into the box - they're barking from inside a locked door! Next time I saw him, we made the peace. Now, years later, he smiles and talks to my girls, waving at them, their tales wagging madly, but they're still barking . And now we talk all the time. I'd say it's been 10 years. I told him, hey we've got your back! We're going to vote that bastard out of office - I gotcha! He appreciated that.

This is different because it is a direct hit at his base's identity. Mayberry RFD. Older voters making their Xmas card lists.

This will make all of the rest worse. It is such a purely selfish move that the things they have endured to own the libs or support the country will be reevaluated. Maybe not consciously, but as a hook to make it all Democratic attacks more effective. Someone mentioned Bounties, Well now its bounties and the USPS for veterans, or the USPS and taking the funding for SS, or the USPS and the trade war.

And he did it at the height of campaign focus on the Democrats.

He's doing this in plain sight because he 'got away' with Russia-gate and Ukraine-gate and thinks he's invincible.

There will now be some voters who will 'see the light' since this is so easy to understand and affects them directly, unlike the other scandals.

Only now the lying has become much more frequent. Yesterday when a Huffpost reporter S.V. Dáte asked him if he regrets all the lying he's done, he was so caught offguard that he quickly skipped to the next question to evade the question:
https://www.chron.com/local/article/Do-you-regret-at-all-all-the-lying-you-ve-15484037.php

"We are attacked on a near daily basis using Stalinist language. We are called corrupt and dishonest. We are given false information from staff who often know full well that it is false," Dáte wrote.

After the direct exchange with the president, Dáte tweeted this: "For five years, I've been wanting to ask him that."

It's been like a walk through hell. It will literally take a decade to clean up the mess caused by his treasonous incompetent corrupt negligent....well, you all know. Shit.

And did you see - the dirtbag Dejoy actually invested millions in UPS stock. Before he became postmaster. Talk about telegraphing your intention to rip the USPS apart.

These people are nothing but wreckers - they don't give a hoot about governing us at all, just about power and money.

But the pendulum may be swinging back. I think Harris is going to be wonderful on the campaign trail. Tough, smart, and she'll take it to Trump and Pence and all the other dirt bags.

For 3 1/2 years. His tariff's killed the market with China for grain farmers. But he diverted the tariff income to pay farmers a subsidy. Farmers hate government handouts. They want markets. And now this USPS debacle. Back in the mid/late 1950's farmers abandon the Republican party in droves. And it didn't hurt that Democrats brought Social Security to the aging farmers, like my father. Will that repeat?
