Why did Romney just give top staff $200,000 raise?

What does this say? That the morale of those in his campaign has dropped through the floor and that he's trying to prop it back up (pathetically) the only why he knows how??

That's the only answer I can come up with.

First off he's just buying people. That is what Mitt Romney does, he buys people. But in the end Romney will loot his own campaign fund, be sure of that.

- at least that what his fellow Wall Streeters say when asked why they continued to give exorbitant bonuses to folks whose institutions were part of the financial meltdown.

As others responders have hinted, this really can only be one of these:

1) hush money
2) don't jump the ship money
3) tax mumbo jumbo (to evade taxes in some "legal" fashion)
4) rewards for incompetence (since that's pretty much the only thing repigs get rewards for)
