Raphael Warnock is not on the list because he's not perfoming well, and would need to go to a runoff in December when turnout will be lower

(32,017 posts)I am a bit shocked by Ossoff in GA, and I am sad to discover that we have little chance in KS, now, but I agree with you on that.
Thank you for the update.

(112,885 posts)I lived in TX-24 and former Irving mayor Beth Van Duyne (R) campaign, has a definite advantage over Valenzuela. District 24 is composed of upper middle class (Carrollton, Irving, Grapevine, North Richland Hills) and outright wealthy suburbs (Coppell, Southlake).and has elected Republicans for a long time.
Meanwhile, Ortiz-Jones narrowly lost the election for District 23 in 2018 and that district is nearly evenly split between Tepublicans and Democrats.

(36,453 posts)There's no chance of flipping my home district from red to blue but I will do what i can to increase our lead in the House.
I'll also consider donating to Janet Metsa who is running for state legislature as representative from the 110th state house district.

(6,138 posts)With the new district maps, we have a fighting chance at regaining the General Assembly. Even being able to sustain Cooper's vetoes this past year and a half has made a huge difference.

(10,014 posts)Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
