FFS! DROP IT OFF!

There is no need to fear the postal service. Drop your mail in ballot at your local town hall or wherever has been designated in your city or town. You can drop your moms, and I have along with my own.

Drop it off, not that difficult.

Hand delivered. Signed sealed delivered.

that I would drop their ballots off at the county clerks office. Since the ballots were heavy they needed several stamps. For some seniors, that was a bit of money. They could either bring them to the senior lunch or I would swing by and pick them up when I was going to town. We lived 45 minutes from the closest town. I didn't ask if they were Dem or GOP. There is no law about how many or who can drop off other peoples' ballots in Oregon.

Here is a list of the laws per state https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/vopp-table-10-who-can-collect-and-return-an-absentee-ballot-other-than-the-voter.aspx I don't know how up to date it is.

Wherever possible, we need to make sure we are getting people's votes to the court houses or county clerks offices.

Trump's undermining of confidence in the post office is designed to cause people to use voting machines.

Why?

Hackable and no paper trail.

A mail-in ballot is a paper trail.

We started using mail-in ballots during this year's primary, but had decided we'd go ahead and go vote in person during early voting.

But now, not sure.

In Texas if you get a mail-in ballot you can still vote in person if you take it to the election judge to be voided.

I can vote earlier by mail. They'll come 45 days before the election. Maybe I'll hand deliver it to the Elections office.

Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 16-1005 A family member, household member or caregiver may return an absentee ballot on behalf of a voter.

There are much better ways to obtain a felony than this. . .

A person who knowingly collects voted or unvoted early ballots from another person is guilty of a class 6 felony.

I'd never heard of that before I read it on DU & yours was one of the posts, she. I want to Thank you & everyone who talked about it.

I googled Kauai Drop Off Box for ballots and got the address.. & called Kauai elections this morning 'cause my ballot came in the mail last week but I accidently tossed the Envelope! so I was waiting for another one.. and it hadn't come yet so I was concerned and asked if I could drop it off at the address where I saw it online.

She said yes & you could vote there if you want.. I was surprised.. I thought we had to have it come in the mail. So I immediately walked down there and finally found Conference Room B in the huge building that had the DMV in it.. and all sorts of legal things.. like Camping Permits.

This Keeper of the Box took my temperature before I went down the hall to the Room.. and I got there.. not really a huge room.. just enough for 3 to 4 voters at a time. They wiped down the tables after someone voted. And, when we got though voting everyone clapped! It was so Cool!

When I got through.. the workers started clapping and so did I.. and I said "Thank you for being here!".

When I went out I went through the guarded entrance again and the keeper told me for the General that this is The Box... just come down put your ballot in here and you don't have to worry about the mail. Perfect! I told him I'd been looking for that box!

I think NC's new rules are limiting how many absentee ballots/mail-in ballots you can take to them in person this time around though. These are Covid rules, I am talking about, for this particular election.

Just don't hand your ballot to random Republicans that show up at your house claiming they will turn them in for you, like so many in my district in NC did back in 2018. You'd be surprised at what people fall for.

That ended up being a court case that proved the Republicans stole unsealed absentee ballots from people at their own homes. So, when Trump projects that Democrats will steal mail-in ballots, remember Republicans have already done that. He is projecting. I would be willing to bet they are planning to try that method again in other states for this election coming up. Their reward for doing it in NC was they got to hold another election with all new candidates. So, they got less than a slap on the wrist for it. They might decide that is a method worth using again, considering they didn't get punished for it.

Imagine someone posing as being from the Biden campaign, only to be from the Trump campaign?

Guess what would happen to the ballot? Bye-bye ballot....

Of course, common sense too...

I don't trust Dump's fucking around with the postal service, and barely veiled threats that mail in ballots won't be counted.

helping. It's not rocket science. My postal person advised the same thing. Trump's crony running the Postal Service, at this time, has ordered no overtime and in these times has seriously backed up the mail. It's their plan to delay the mail as much as they can. Took mine to the township's dropbox for absentee ballots.

Simple steps. I voted by mail for town elections. The town promoted this.

We have all, statewide, been sent applications for the last two elections of the year. The primary and the Presidential election.

Thank you.

This time I mailed it back - no postage required. Checked the elections website and know it's been received.
