Willard Romney said he was a self head made man, despite attending a tony prep school, elite colleges and universities, and growing up in a upper class suburb, all on his corporate executive turned governor father's dime.

When I was a kid I had two friends (brothers) who were LDS. I could see then they were different but in a good way. They just wanted to be good or do good as kids.

He was thrust into it by his family and he has thrust his family into it. He is no more a self made man than any of his five sons, who he has sent to the world's best schools and who each will inherit millions as well as receive all the investments in whatever whatever schemes they can come up with for life through the very same social/religious network they haunt right this very minute.

It really is a case of "them" and "us" and there are a lot more of us than there are them, but they have just about everything and control what they don't outright own.

Mitt's Dad made Mitt's life for him, Mitt's Dad was supported in childhood by the American People, via welfare benefits provided to Mormons who had left the US to have polygamist lives then returned when Mexico's revolution happened. So George was also not self made, his entire family was built on the social saftey net Mitt would deny to others in the same situation.
No Romney has ever been 'self made' just like no Romney has ever served in the US miliatary. They all, generationally, rely on other peopel for their leg up. George sure did, as did his parents the Welfare Romenys. Who are also the 'Fled the US for finer shores' Romenys, by the way.
